Powell Electronics now offers Glenair's MIL-DTL-38999 series of Type III fiber optic products, including qualified size 16 MIL-PRF-29504 precision ceramic terminations, large core and jewel size 16 terminations, and size 20 terminations. This product is ideal for rugged aerospace applications requiring tight tolerance optical termination alignment, high levels of connector reliability, rugged environmental and mechanical performance and low dB insertion loss.
This close-tolerance fiber optic connection system is available in metal and composite versions, with qualified MIL-PRF-29504/4 receptacles and MIL-PRF-29504/5 pin terminals for size 16 cavity insertion arrangements. All components are manufactured in-house.
This also includes close tolerance M38999 fiber optic connectors, ultra-low dB loss QPL M29504/04 (pin) and QPL M29504/05 (socket) terminations for singlemode and multimode applications, as well as a wide variety of assembly tools and Other accessory components.
