Recom Power announced two new series of AC / DC power supplies specifically for medical applications. RACM100 and RACM150 are compact and highly efficient devices that can provide a maximum power of 100W or 135W in a semi-closed situation without the need for forced cooling, while satisfying two patient protection methods, which is necessary for advanced medical applications. RACM150 is also available as a fan / F version, providing up to 150W of power in the same package.
The universal 85-264VAC input provides 12V, 15V, 24V and 48VDC single output. All models have an efficiency of up to 92%, do not require a minimum load, and can be used in a temperature range of -25C to + 80C. The output voltage is fully adjusted, and the tolerance within the entire input voltage range is less than ± 0.2%, and the tolerance within the entire load range is less than ± 0.5%. The space-saving 3 x 2 or 4 x 2 inch modules provide 4KVAC enhanced isolation between input and output, 1.5kVAC isolation between output and housing, and also meet the requirements of patient contact in medical applications MOPP, 8mm creepage distance and clearance, 250VAC working voltage).
These modules comply with the third edition of the medical safety standard IEC / ES / EN60601-1 and have B and BF rated outputs with a leakage current of less than 100µA. The company stated that all models comply with FCC Class B EMI, EN60601-1-2 and EN55022 standards.
