Silicon Labs' Si5380 12-output JESD204B high-performance, integer (M / N) -based clock generator has been optimized for small cellular wireless applications.
These devices require the highest level of integration and phase noise performance and are based on proprietary fourth-generation DSPLL technology. The Si5380 combines frequency synthesis and jitter attenuation in a highly integrated digital solution, eliminating the need for external VCXO and loop filter components. It includes a low-cost fixed-frequency crystal that provides frequency stability for free-running and hold modes. The company states that all-digital solutions provide superior performance and are immune to interference from external circuit boards.
Typical applications include JESD204B clock generation, remote radio unit (RRU), remote access network (RAN), pico cell, small cell, wireless base station (3G, GSM, W-CDMA, 4G / LTE, LTE-A), remote radio head (RRH), wireless repeater, wireless backhaul and data conversion sampling clock (ADC, DAC, DDC, DUC).
