The LMH0034 SMPTE 292M / 259M Adaptive cable Equalizer is a monolithic integrated circuit designed to equalize data transmitted over a cable (or any medium with similar dispersion loss properties). The Equalizer operates in a wide data rate range of 125 Mbps to 1.485 Gbps, and supports SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 344M, and SMPTE 259M. LMH0034 realizes DC recovery and correctly handles pathological data.
Typical Application
This can be bypassed for low data rate applications. Equalizers are flexible, allowing single-ended or differential input drives,Other features include a combination of carrier detection and output mute pins that output mute when no signal is present. The Programmable Mute reference is used to mute the output at an optional signal degrade level. The cable length indicator is used to determine the number of cables being equalized.
